National Tequila Day

You know those days when the humidity descends upon you like a cloying cloud, when the ceiling fan is languidly spinning warm air around the room, and you fervently wish you were anywhere else in the world but here.

Well… why not take a break from the oppressive present and head off to Mexico to celebrate National Tequila Day.
You don’t need to hop on to a plane to let your mind wander to the land of tortillas and Mariachi bands… you can be there in spirit…
… the Spirit of Tequila…

Tequila, is a much maligned drink, that is oft-blamed for headaches and hangovers. But, this remarkable spirit is subtle, and complex, and as worthy of consideration as any top shelf Cognac or single malt. Its unique flavour comes from the distinctive blue agave plant that is native to Mexico, which gives tequila it’s bold flavour combination of fruit, pepper, and spice.

Try some Patron Silver Tequila, known for its light, fresh, crystal clear look and an elegant smoothness. It is handmade in small batches to be smooth, sweet, easily mixable. It is the preferred tequila to create a perfect Tequila Sour cocktail.

Or take a shot of Jose Cuervo Especial Gold, a blend of young and aged tequilas that played a leading role in the invention of the Margarita and is still the favoured tequila for that world-famous beloved cocktail.

And if you prefer to enjoy the complexity of flavours without any fruits or frills, take a sip of Don Julio Reposado, with its soft and elegant taste boasting hits of dark chocolate, vanilla, and light cinnamon, this is a superb, warm and spicy beverage to enjoy and experience neat.

However you want to celebrate the hazy lazy days of summer… don your sombrero and 1…2…3… Tequila.

Arriba!!!
